We just got back from the 'trip of a lifetime', around the world with Smithsonian (see photos I am beginning to feed into the random photos thread). Anyway, one stop was the Serengeti. This lion was in the process of copulating. You can just see the female in the grass behind him. I took the photo with my 300mm telephoto and cropped it just once. Other than that, virtually no post-processing. The sky really was that color and post-processing ruined that.
Edit: I do have a couple of photos of the lion 'on the job' if anyone is interested. But, IMHO, they are not as good as this.
