If you wanted to share with the world how you celebrate Thanksgiving,
how would you get the picture across?

When I lived in Coral Springs/Broward County,FL, at Christmas Eve, there
was no "white Christmas" but something unique happening was the residential streets were lined up with brown lunch bags filled with sand and a lit candle. It was beautiful! This is what I would enter into the contest for Christmas in Florida.

Use your imagination.
We don't actually celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, case in point, there's not a tin of canned pumpkin to be had in the country.

But the Spring racing carnival is on and there's a few other November festivals in the lead up to Christmas. I'll have a look around and see what I can see.

The candle bags sound really beautiful btw.

Up in Northern Maine they use white lunch bags and it makes a stunning display from some simple items. I can't remember what they are called right now though.

Luminaria, I believe is the term you are looking for.....Luminary (singular) Luminaries, or luminaria, pl.

They do that here during Relay For Life.

QUESTION FOR ALL THE PARTICIPATORS:

Wouldn't it nice to add location or state to your title?

I look at your beautiful pictures and wonder "what state was this taken?"

Also, in Matt Angry's theme would be the same question.

Open for discussion.

I don't think it makes any difference that we know the location where the photos were taken, it has nothing to do with the content. This is the World Wide Web and some of us prefer to divulge as little information as possible about our location....jmho.
