Man, in that last pic, I almost thought it was a couple of humans being picked up and thrown about! ...had to double-take.

So did your house sustain any damage, autumn? That was brave of you to be standing there taking pics as the storm was going over.

Wow. And you're right, this is a fun forum to check out everyones pics!

When I lived in Missouri I got to experience a tornado. I'd post pics, but between my move some of my CD's got lost.

The visual memories and the destruction it did I'll never forget.
I recall the ground on the median strip between the highway looked like a bull dozer carved a huge trench between it.

Well, I took these photos in the backyard of one of our houses in MN. And it was scarey to watch it unfold. I just kept clicking away. I actually have the whole series,

Those shadows are crazy aren't they? Everyone is taking double takes with them. Just due to it is so odd! Some say it is satan and God, some say it is the cloud makers. I just said WTF! , and clicked. My husband was in shock as the shadows appeared. Very strange.

It did not touch down by us, just formed. It took about 35 minutes to come to this. And when it left it was so quick. ANd touched down about 7 miles east of where we were.

You can see by towards the end of it how dark it was getting, until it was black. Ahh good times, hee hee.
Thanks all for letting me share this. It is really nice having this forum, And friends like you all.

As much as I hate tornadoes, those are really cool photos, autumngal.

Here is a link to one that came close to me in 2000.

Two people were killed in that one; one was tossed into a tree and the other died later from injuries sustained while in her home.
