I shoot Raw/Jpeg and have all of my Raw files saved on an external drive. Tonight I decided I would mess around with my Raw software, and I am really pleased with the results. This is the only image I have ever done from the Raw file, so I would like input if anyone cares to assist me or give opinions.
Once I figure out how to save all the images in the collections I can switch to Raw only in camera. I tried this before and could not get the images saved to the collection so I gave up. I think I got it figured out

what program are you working in??? if it is Lightroom...you only want to have one collection and make files within that collection...that way you can "search" by metadata and keyword in all files...if you have collections you cannot do a general search by rating/flag/keywords....a collection can hold like 300 hundred thousand photos...
Blueflames, it is the software that came with the camera. It is called lightbox, Ill assume its similar. Strange thing is that some of the jpeg conversions were saved in documents, some in the folder I specified. I need to play with the software a little more to get more familiar with it.
Tomorrow will be a good test, I am meeting Col. W. Deering for the first time to do a photo adventure together. I switched the camera to Raw only already, this way I will be forced to finally get this down pat. I am meeting Col. D. at a local botanical garden tomorrow, it should be a great afternoon of pictures .
Im excited about finally learning more with Raw conversions, I'm amazed how much more control over the Jpeg you have working that way. Ill post some tomorrow night after I get back and see what I come up with.
