This beaver set up shop in a 30' retention pond about 40 feet from a main road not far from us. He doesn't care much for our company but I had the foresight to bring the camera along when I went by this time. I wish I had time to focus manually but he doesn't hang around long once we show up.
I couldn't believe he picked that pond to make a den. The river is over a mile away and there are larger retention ponds nearby unless it's because this one has good sized reeds and cat tails in it.
A couple of rabbits hanging around in our neighbor's front yard.
