Speaking from experience, the mountains of NC are the only place to live there. they are beautiful and the Biltmore is amazing.

Gorgeous. Now I really can't wait for my trip to the mountains which is going to take place in June.

Is the photo number 0453 of Maggie Valley "town?" Heavenly!!

The first photo looked like rural southern Ontario but the rest, definitely not here.

I know the southern Appalaichains are amazing, though for me as far as whether or not to live there, it's a bummer that year-round they're cooler than I'd prefer. That being said, most areas are usually as warm, warmer or a lot warmer in the day than the Toronto area, sometimes much sunnier too, so for a vacation it's a nice break in every respect. I love approaching a mountain tunnel on the highway where it's 2000 feet up, with mature trees on top that only look 1/8th of an inch tall.

I always love driving through them on the way to Myrtle Beach. I haven't seen much of western NC, but I've seen plenty of western VA, WV, eastern KY and eastern TN.

Your pictures are very nice. I've been through that area many times and I love it down there.
