Also, I didn't realize San Francisco was such a green, environmentally-conscious city!
Oh yeah... it's the old hippie influence, I suppose. I know those pictures made it look like a garbage heap, but that was just on parade day - and at least we tried to keep it contained, LOL. Here are a few more SF shots:

I think the Rite Aid in your 4th picture was on the news recently. They were talking about the problem SF has with shoplifters called "boosters", I think. They go in and swipe hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise and then sell it right on the street.
Great job! Houston is such a big city. I never knew it was that big. Lots of interesting photo's you posted.....thanx! Great job!

Thanks. Yeah, Houston's unknown to a lot of people and it's part of why I like to do what I do. I'll come in every once in awhile with some select shots....got hundreds (probably going into thousands now) floating around in the Houston forum.
Funny to see merely a not-so-busy street being referred to as "empty" but that's the difference density makes. San Francisco is way up there as far as cities where I'd like to go for pictures.
Niels Esperson building in the fading evening light in Downtown Houston. Behind it is the Chase Tower which is the tallest in Houston. The Esperson was the tallest at the time it was built - in 1927.
Allen's Landing, where Buffalo and White Oak bayous meet; where the city of Houston was first established.
Looking to the west from the 60th floor of the Chase Tower. The tallest building in the distance is the Williams (Transco) Tower in Uptown Houston. The building in the foreground is Heritage Plaza located downtown, just a few blocks from the Chase Tower.
Cool Houston shots. I was working in Houston today & got a few shots myself
