Whether it be teachers, Universities, 4 year degrees, or college educated people, there seems to be a lot of animosity towards learning by many members on here.

Then again, when you consider that these same people consider Glenn Beck a professor....

There isn't. You don't understand the other side of the argument because you're looking through the lens of your liberal glasses. We're AGAINST overpaid state teachers leeching off the taxpayers without contributing towards a good quality education. A good quality education, you know, something that doesn't involve liberal social engineering but instead concentrates on maths, science, reading, and English? Subjects that Americans fall short on? But hey why should anyone, including me, waste our time explaining to you. You come off as a hyper-partisan liberal who sees the world purely in black and white, no shades of grey which there is a lot of concerning your post

This board is infested with neo-con zombies who don't have a clue what real conservatism is. They have been coached (read brainwashed) by undereducated pied pipers like Beck and Limbaugh to distrust anyone in academia. In their "Bizarro World" the more educated you are the dumber you are. Trying to figure them out will only give you a headache.

Now some douchebag will post a reply calling me a liberal because that's all there is in their little black and white world. You either think exactly like they do or you're a liberal.

Most likely because the only experience many have with a college is when they serve the freshman their lunch.

It's easier to disdain and hate those they are jealous of.

I bet some of those people are graduates from the prestigious Limbaugh Institute Of Advanced Conservative Studies.

I love teachers, I love college educated people and I'm a college educated person myself, I have no animosity towards learning whatsoever.

I dislike corruption, bullying and the fear based ignorance that breeds in today's labor unions, some of the worst cases are our modern day teacher's unions. At a time when we should ALL be willing to sacrifice due to the hard times we are in labor unions continue to demand more while refusing to allow things like actual performance to dictate a person's compensation.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention.
I've read posts that suggest that universities (and faculty) indoctrinate students to communist ideology.
Other posts have stated that intellectuals are good-for-nothing lazy bums, that the blue collars make this country work.
Another post pointed out that a college professor didn't know what to do when his hot water boiler leaked profusely.
There is plenty of disdain for education.
Try to recall the conservative outrage when Obama's speech was telecast to students for the start of the school year.

University professors do attempt to indoctrinate students to their way of thinking, that's not exactly a secret is it?

Conservatives weren't outraged at education when Obama made a speech to students, they were outraged at the political content of the speech.
