We've seen a lot of dumb ideas from the dumbest president in US history, but now W has secretly implimented one that may even be dumber than his invasion of Iraq. Yes, W wants to spend billions of US taxpayers' dollars to protect the southern border. Only, it's not the US border, it is the southern border of Mexico.

No, I did not type that wrong. W wants to spend US taxpayer money to keep illegal immigrants out of Mexico while, at the same time, he is allowing illegal immigrants from Mexico into the US.

It's called the Merida Initiative. No, not meirde, Merida. And W wants to give $1.4 Billion to Mexico to make this dumbassery a reality.

The plan is called “The Merida Initiative.” Seems that the White House has had this plan in the works for nearly a year with little congressional input on either side of the border.... Naturally, the State Department has taken a lead role. They’ve held meetings in secret and cut out members of Congress from discussion.

Yes, for any of you who believe W cares for the US, or is sane, I think this will prove otherwise. He is secretly working to undermine US sovereignty, and I am sure this is part of his planned North America Union.

On a positive side, the criticism of this is bipartisan; democrats in Congress [not republicans] are objecting to this, and check out the source of the critical article linked:
