Putin now says the Russian hackers "shifted the blame to make it look like Russia was behind the hacking."

cite Vladimir Putin Tells Megyn Kelly: U.S. Hackers Could Have Framed Russia - NBC News

Does this mean it is not enough to prove Russians hacked the election. That we can never prove Russian government involved?

If you feel like you can believe a word putin says.

Yesterday he said the hackers could be independent patriotic Russians.

At what point does the election become illegitimate?

Does Putin himself have to stand up and say:

Yes I admit it I coordinated with Russian hackers to get my duckee in the White House?

It's all still speculation.

Wake me up when there is anything concrete on either side.

Well yes if you read the breaking article he does not refute that Russia hackers were involved. Just now he says they could have made it look like it was down with coordination with Moscow.

We can never prove Moscow itself directly coordinated unless we subpoena Putin and all Kremlin records.

However, seems that the GOP has already hinted they are now fine even if there is proof Russian hackers helped Trump win the White House with or without collusion by himself or his campaign staff.

Seems they too monitor what is on Twitter and also believe the Feds raided Trump Tower as Mensch and Taylor claim.

Just like in Ukraine where Russian soldiers were actually vacationing there right?

Please. Can't you folks tell when Putin is literally making fun of you? He finds it hilarious that you still are willing to grasp at anything to claim Russia didn't do it. Meanwhile he and his team are laughing their heads off.

I unfortunately think Putin's word is more credible than Trump's.

Personally, I believe Putin and think the hackers were indeed Russian, just not controlled directly by Russia. Instead it is my believe they were compensated by a fan of Trump's with the knowledge of Trump/team.

Your opinion isn't concrete.

Let's agree to disagree on this fine point. I think a lot of Russians are not directly controlled by Putin. Especially Russians living abroad for many years.

In my book, Trump should be out on his keester even if they were American hackers who tossed the election without his knowledge.

It was not a free and fair election period.

Or it could have been the CIA using their "Umbrage" program that plants foreign malware in order to frame other countries for hacking? Or it could have been Seth Rich? Or the Awan brothers? Who knows?

What seems reasonable to me is that we should be absolutely certain before we start kicking out the Russian diplomats, seizing their property, imposing sanctions & threatening them with military force.
