Great - they need the jobs down there. They can be the "Chinese" or the "Mexicans" for the Japanese. MAGA.

Well, except it CAN be denied since we had 12 Million manufacturing jobs (non-management) when GWB took office and now have under 8 million even with a vastly larger population.

"The great American labor paradox: Plentiful jobs, most of them bad"
https://qz.com/1752676/the-job-quali...-been-missing/

and the indices are way down
http://www.emeraldhost.net/files/new...turing~001.jpg

And consumer confidence just fell for the 4th month in a row.

And GDP is predicted to be virtually no gain (net of health care, which actually costs the average people money)....

But, yeah, other than actual facts you are correct.

Huntsville is a booming area. Are you ever right about anything?

So it's great when Toyota builds a plant in the USA, but it's bad when Ford builds a plant in Mexico to sell cars in central and south America?

Do you like globalism or not?

Yep, I am right about the general state of thing in the USA. I know very well that Federal and other money brought that area up......but, in general, which is what we are discussing....

"Death rates from suicide, drug overdoses, liver disease and dozens of other causes have been rising over the past decade for young and middle-aged adults, driving down overall life expectancy in the United States for three consecutive years, according to a strikingly bleak study published Tuesday that looked at the past six decades of mortality data."

AND, for a long time foreign companies have been opening plants here....notice I said the word "Foreign" - not American.

I guess MAGA types are nationalists until some Chinese company says they will build a factory...

My point is that perhaps the USA can have a higher calling than having what little remains of our manufacturing being assembly line jobs for foreign companies.

You can agree or not...
