A North Carolina mother of five was accidentally killed and her youngest child injured when her children found a gun in her purse.
Police were called to an apartment in Cornelius on Monday night and found the mother, Gabriel Alexis Henderson, in a back bedroom, according to a police press release. The 25-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Those poor children will be suffering the consequences of their, now deceased, mother's irresponsibility for years. The one who pulled the trigger will carry that emotional burden the rest of his/her life and the siblings had to see their mother killed before their eyes. Since the mother was only-twenty five the oldest couldn't be more than seven or eight.
25 with 5 kids living in an apartment...I just wonder how many tax dollars she was netting in government benefits per year and how many fathers there were...
So you're saying she was a victim of her own negligence and irresponsibility? That's called life, in it's purest, rawest form. Sad that is happened this way, but she put herself in this predicament. Not sure what could have or should have been done to prevent this. I really don't think this belongs in the politics subforum though.

Another person with gun who had no idea how to take care of it, nothing new.
About like 5 kids growing up without a parent because their parent:
Committed serious felonies.
Drove drunk and was killed.
Did drugs and overdosed.
Tried to pet the polar Bear through the bars at the zoo
Jumped in to the tiger's pit at the zoo
You name to stupidity and kids have suffered from it.
Teach your kids about firearms. Keep the ones too young to teach out of harms way. Put the damn gun away from the lil guys when you get home. It's not really that difficult.
Oh man. this is gonna be rough if they keep them together.
