Maybe these families in California should not have had such a huge family.

The legislation claims that "leasing is a priviledge"

Everytime I have been in the non-wealthy areas of California, all there is basically is women with 3 to 5 kids in tow.

Much of Los Angeles, San Diego, Inland Empire and Central Valley is basically a tsunami of women who have 3 to 5 kids or even more and now the state wants to propose a landlord excise tax of 25% because millions and millions of Californians have a huge family they can't afford.

The Democrats are proposing insanity basically.

All told California legislature is proposing a 234 billion tax increase even though they have a massive surplus.

This makes total sense if you understand the mentality of Newsom and the State Legislature.

"Hey look folks we have a 75 Billion Dollar Surplus and I am going to give each Adult $600..oh yea and we are broke so I need to raise taxes and fees by about 234 Billion".

And that is not even counting the proposed bills that don't have a cost yet. Such as AB584 which includes a Fee for hauling Milk.

This isn't accurate to say "California proposes" when its just one person in the legislature who proposed an idea. Every year we hear about these new taxes proposed by someone and it dies in committee.

Where are the babies? California sees slowest population growth since it started counting

"California last year saw its slowest population growth in recorded history, according to a Department of Finance report published Wednesday.
Dwindling immigration, a significant decline in births and an aging baby boomer population contributed to the low annual population growth of 0.47 percent, said Tina Daley, chief of demographic research for the department.
Housing costs could be partly to blame for the trend."

PS if you want to see in real time what happens to taxes when a population decreases, keep watching the California taxes, as those exiting the State adds to the stagnant growth.

Where would they be population wise without illegal immigration?

None of this will pass, but if it ever did the state would be done. The threat of this garbage sends enough people to Texas and Arizona as it is.
