Are you being funny or did you find that stat somewhere? That number seems waaaayyyy too low. I'd imagine it probably closer to to 60%. Although, the city proper that could be true. In Milwaukie all of my neighbors are generational Oregonians and in St Johns that was also true. Except for a Tongan family.

I was born in the city proper (St. Vincents) in 1977.

The demographic attracted to Portland is generally liberal white folks with college degrees. They come mostly from California, the east coast upper Midwest, historically but in more recent times there seems to be an influx from Arizona, and Texas.

Its from the 2010 census, 25+ = 35% and that's the whole state Portland is 30%

What's funny is that the trader joes employees in Tucson, Arzona looked exactly like portlandia people. Basically, portland transplants look like trader joes employees.
