I know you THINK you want a girl, but you honestly will be thrilled not matter what it turns out to be. When my first was born (back before they did routine ultrasounds and told you the sex), I was 100% positive it was a boy. I wanted a boy. I bought boy stuff. I was in disbelief when they told me in the delivery room that it was a girl. And at the same time, it didn't matter and I was all the sudden thrilled to have a daughter.
I just knew the second was going to be a boy. It was a girl. I was happy to have two girls.
When I was pregnant with the third, I thought it would be nice to have three girls and was happily anticipating that. The third was a boy. Thrilled again.
I was hoping my grandchild would be a girl, and it was. But I know I would have been just as happy if she had been a boy.
Once the baby is born, the sex won't matter to you at all.
