You only get 12 weeks/year. If you use it for fertility treatments, you won't have it after a baby hopefully comes. I wouldn't use it for that.

Baby would be coming next year at this point! Assuming OP can afford to take the unpaid time both this year and next year...

I was thinking 12 month period, not calendar year. If all goes well, there's only 9 months between treatment and delivery.

I looked it up, it depends on how your employer defines the 12 month period.
For DH, the year starts over in January.

Forget about the 12 month argument...fertility treatments don't qualify at all.
