Finally got a fake cashier's check

I got a cashier's check last year that was bogus. We asked for a few thousand and we were sent a couple hundred thousand. Of course, that set off alarms immediately. We didn't even get to the point where they asked for money back.

by now, I would think the world would know never to send money back in a nigerian scam.

Who doesn't know about these scams yet?

It's funny because the bank who confirmed the check was fake for us said that people are often in there demanding that the money be wired out even after the bank has told them the check is likely fake.
