pros and cons for a new person that can learn from internet but wants leads. is there any hard data of average first year realtor sales by brokerage? I believe I want to go with cb as the broker is nice, but the top agents belong to kw in this county. exp has a lower rate but I dont really like the lack of actual office even though I have worked from home for the last 3 years.
The first year the most important aspect will be training. Much more important than income or number of sales. Which brokerage offers the best training program and mentorship? The quality of educational programs and leadership varies by office and personality.
I started at a KW, when they had a really solid training program. We had daily training classes by a rotating staff of some of the highest producers in the office, and in our area. We really got a great variety of expertise and successful methods to learn from. But after we went through, I saw that training program change, and I don't think for the better. I was glad we started when and where we did.
So... what will matter to you now is which office is doing it right in a way that you will best respond to? Learning this stuff and developing your own style will be very personal, and who you seem to understand and want to emulate is important.

So this is a common perception that the brokerage is going to feed you tons of prospects to choose from. Yes you can do floor time and wait for someone to call, but brokerages will teach you how to get your own business and expect you to do just that.
If you want leads, then join a team. It will be terrible money as a rookie, but they will give you business and train you.
