Doing TWO complete inspections just because, without known issues requiring followup, seems irritating to the seller in an occupied house.

One should be plenty. But the choice of who does the inspection is YOURS.

This idea that you have to use an inspector someone else wants is ridiculous. We make recommendations. We may trust our recommendations, but they are just that.... recommendations.

Pick who you want.

Ouch.
Something stinks there, IMO.

To some degree, I don't blame a seller for not wanting two full inspections, but a single inspection should be by your service provider of choice.
The "delay closing" seems odd.
1st inspection Tuesday. 2nd inspection Wednesday. Makes sense to me, although picking an inspector is still they buyer's right.

i agree with you , 2 inspections is overkill
but not if I cannot trust my agents inspector

buyer is anxious to get this done they are out of state , and they have had only 2 offers in 2 full days of open house

yes it was couched in the language of recommendation but his inspector was available same day , mine was booked for the next 5 days.
I understand time is of the essence but not at the cost of compromising on inspections
its not an occupied house

Did your Agent advise you to use the Inspector of your choice and didn't the Agent push the issue with the seller/seller's Agent that it would be with your choice of Inspector?

my agent said use his recommended inspector [ not the inspector of my choice] as he will get the job done as soon as possible
