I've never heard of Cream of Bacon soup before. Interesting.

I would imagine that you could use it in place of other Cream of (insert type here). You could saute chicken breast in it and serve over rice for instance.

Edited to add: I just checked the Campbell's website and they have tons of Cream of Bacon soup recipes that sound really good. Everything from a bacon mac and cheese casserole to spaghetti squash carbonara.

Where are you finding those specific recipes on the website?

It's a simple recipe. Half and Half, fresh broccoli, real cheddar, cream cheese and butter.
The addition of the cream cheese to the cheddar allows the cheddar to become creamy, instead of stringy.

I pre-cook the broccoli, so it's already soft when added to the dairy based products.

Microwave the cheddar, butter, and cream cheese about 3 to 4 minutes. Stir.

Meantime, steam the broccoli on stove until almost soft. Broccoli is diced.

Add all to Half and Half on stovetop, stir often, heat thoroughly. Serve.
Great with oyster crackers.

Make sure you have lots of broccoli, so that it's just not a cream-based soup. My wife begs me to make this soup
Sounds delicious but this is definitely not diet friendly soup. Might give this a whirl once the weather starts getting colder.

Wow, that sounds soooo good. I don't dare make it or I'll gain 5 pounds after a couple of bowls,

If I were to make it, I'd start by frying the onions in bacon fat. And continue on as any other soup.
