I don't like salmon no matter how many times I've tried it. Once again I bought some hoping I could find some way to enjoy it. The label said "use or freeze by 11/14". I opened it up today to cut it into serving sizes and wrap it for the freezer. Right off the bat I was grossed out by the fishy smell. Has it gone bad already?

If it is still good how should I cook it? Something simple...like a soy ginger glaze? I really want to enjoy salmon. I love all kinds of fish except salmon, trout, catfish, and other fresh water fish.

If you enjoy canned tuna, you can mix one can tuna and one can salmon together and season in your usual way. I love fresh salmon with a ginger/soy glaze.

This is my family's favorite way to fix salmon. It's super easy and always turns out well. Instead of grilling, I usually bake it for 15 minutes at 375. Asian Grilled Salmon Recipe : Ina Garten : Food Network

That looks good! I love Ina Garten.

The thought of canned salmon grosses me out even further.

Skip it, I too had it grilled, Asian, glazed, roasted on a cedar plank etc etc

Only way I'll eat it is if it's heavily smoked and in a dip. And even then. .. sorry I'm no help but I'm the same way as you.

I can't help you out either - I have tried it 734 ways from Sunday, and I just don't like it.

I've pretty much given up. My husband likes it a lot, but since I can't eat it, I can't cook it for him because I don't know how it's supposed to taste. He gets it at restaurants now. You'd be surprised how bad that makes me feel.

I like pan fried, fast an easy. The skin is crunchy. Try this.

I make things for my family that I don't like. Like when my mom' is here, I get regular fish for us and salmon for her. I make it all at once. My family loves lamb but I don't. Supposedly I make the best leg of lamb. Lol. Just let your hubby guide you on the seasoning.

Why force yourself to like something that you hate? Unless you want to try to like it then I would suggest to cook it in your favorite sauce such as teriyaki. I have a friend who hates salmon, but I think he said he likes Lox and salmon in sushi, just not cooked salmon.

I make it for my husband and all I do is season with a little kosher salt, lemon Juice and dill. He likes his slightly rare in the middle though. I tried salmon twice and I don't care for it's texture both slightly cooked and fully cooked.
