I volunteered to take the salad to a Hanukkah party, googled, and came up with this, It was a hit! Great winter salad. Add crumbled feta, goat cheese - or whatever cheese you like, and it's a light winter lunch or dinner. Add bread and soup if you wish,

That sounds so good. And it's pretty and (ironically) Christmas-y.

But then I have Lutheran friends who make kugel at this time of year.

Nothing like food to bring people together.

My grandma used to serve her beets in sour cream. Great!

Eventually, I found Walnut Oil which goes well with beet and walnut salad.

Either way is fine with me, just wish I could share it with Grandma now.
