We ran out of Lipton and wanted to try Luzianne and the difference in taste was noticeable.
The only thing we could have done different was one extra table spoon of sugar and one less minute of brewing time.
The recipe used was 5 table spoons of sugar and 6 minutes of brewing per two tea bags per half gallon of water.
Which do you prefer and what is your brewing recipe? Thanks.
I prefer the Luzianne tea. I don't add sugar to mine. They say that adding a pinch of baking soda to your batch removes cloudiness and bitterness in the tea. I have to say that I think it tastes better when I do add it. Anyone else ever tried adding baking soda?
If you want a good, easy to find, black tea in bags without the hassle of loose tea, go with PG Tips or Tetley. Those are the two most popular in the UK (or so I've read).
