How has the pandemic affected activity at the casinos, restaurants, buffets, etc? Are things coming back to normal?

Most casinos are back open, masks are required inside. I'm not sure about Reno as much as Lake Tahoe...Tahoe casinos seem to all be open except for Lakeside...

Restaurants allow you to remove masks while seated and eating.

Buffets are modified, but I am not sure on this one...you might want to contact a hotel/casino you are interested in and ask them about specifics...

Casinos are open, but with mask requirements and social distancing guidelines (like some restaurant tables closed and some slot machines turned off). Nightclubs and bars are shutdown, no shows at the events and some buffets may be closed.

They just allowed bars to open in Washoe County with guidelines (of course).

They have laid off many employees and working with a skeleton crew. Workers are getting the virus.

I was the only one eating at Gold Ranch Casino Cafe today. It was really good though, a great salad and tuna melt sandwich for under $10. The Casino was packed for a Monday

Intersting thread, I wonder if all the indoor hotel pools are back open now. I'll be visiting Lake Tahoe in August. Harrah's website did say that their buffet should be open by then but no mention of the pool being open or closed at all.

The pools should be open.

The hot spring pool in Carson is open and even in California the pool was available when I visited the coast recently. Of course, those are outdoors....just call the hotel and ask?

I know that by May 1st the counties can decide on their own mitigation measures and Harrah's is in Douglas County, Douglas will most likely take the most permissive stance allowed.
