If all three stores are the same I'm going with the Walmart neighborhood store.

Default My friend GOOGLE

Something I would call interesting is if you Google "walmart neighborhood market hatch group" you get results showing site plans for plantation road, timberlake, regis lane and dale ave.. May mean something, may mean nothing at all.

Or Google the size of the proposed store and you will find that it is the exact same size as many other walmart neighborhood markets. Take that for what it's worth, surprised the media or someone hasn't figured it out.

Also after googling that also, I would say that Walmart is planning Neighborhood Markets on Timberlake Road near Waterlick Road and on 221 in Forest near Bank of the James (Regis Lane). Interesting that both of these locations are not in the city of Lynchburg.

They need to check out the old Food lion on Bedford Ave in Lynchburg. Prime site that Food Lion abandoned when the city partially closed Bedford Ave for almost two years. Prime "food desert" area; Wal-Mart has communicated that this is one of their goals moving forward.

Thought about that also, need something there, but I think the site is a little too small for this.

The Walmart neighborhood stores are "only" about 38,000 sqft to around 42,000 sq feet.

Also it is odd that none are in the city of lynchburg, but all 3 planned (whatever it may be) for roanoke are in the city.

Not so much the size of the building as the size of the lot if they want to include fuel and a drive-thru pharmacy.

Still doable- not all have fuel. Drive thru pharma would be no big deal.
