By the time I got to this post I was thinking the same thing.

Anything in the Willamette will be tolerant/live and let live. I would check around before flying the rainbow flag. There are pockets of idiots everywhere. For the most part the Willamette valley is fine. Probably have to network via the internet to find more folks of like mind, meet ups ect.

Sweet Home is my home town, and it's one of the less tolerant live-and-live parts of the valley. I'd look at Corvallis.
