only those in draft formats brokered by Bernal and those working with him (aka everyone south of 1604.)
Some of the tweaks came after conferring with people north of 1604. Pastor John Hagee was consulted. A pastor at Oak Hills Church was consulted. These meetings were mentioned in one of the MySA articles last week.

As is clear from this discussion, changing someone's deep seated belief isn't going to happen. Nor do I feel it needs to. In my dream world, yes, but in practice, I recognise that ignorance and prejudice are not easily changed. Finding something morally wrong because it doesn't mesh with your religious choices is fine, making a certain group of people less-than-citizens because of who they are, is not. What I can do, is make sure that ignorance and prejudice does not cause harm to another person.

Yes, people will try to get around it. People break laws all the time. People go over the speed limit, people roll through stop signs, is that a reason not to have speed limits or stop signs? With this ordinance in place, all citizens are protected. If it can be proven that someone is violating it, they will be called to task.
Chaka that's the problem with laws like this it will also hurt innocent people. Too many times in my life I have seen people fired from their jobs just because someone made an accusation against them, but did the accused get a fair hearing on the matter, no they were fired just because they were accused. You need to grow a thicker skin and quit expecting everyone to accept what you do just because you say so and no what I said has nothing to do with religion because I am not a religious person in any way.

Yes I know. But its still not been officially presented unless its being done this week.

It would be really hard for them from a PR standpoint to pass an ordinance like this without the major religious leaders at least not being 100% against it.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

I'm going to assume you weren't trying to insult me by insinuating I don't read.

You stated no one talks about it, so one can only assume you don't read much since one can hardly only a newspaper lately without seeing the topic discussed.

[Mod cut: rude] This is a thread about an anti discrimination ordinance for LGBT people, not an anti discrimination ordinance to protect pedophiles. Try to focus.

All the other major cities in Texas have a similar ordinance in place, including Fort Worth and El Paso. Yes, El Paso. The longer this takes, the worse San Antonio looks.
