Yes Insomniac, I am about to do it...

Before Dallas and Houston? I would be surprised if this happens because Houston and Dallas are Texas' fashion capitals. SA just recently got its first Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, so I doubt a Bloomingdales would pop up.

I doubt it. Bloomingdales closed their Texas locations in the early 1990s. Unless theres plans to reopen them that I havent heard about.

Yeah, it was in Dallas. Since then, Bloomingdales hasn't came back yet.

Actually Bloomies has announced back in August that they were actively seeking a Dallas site. I would not be surprised if it was announced that after christmas that the Macy's at galleria Dallas is switching over. Especially since there is another macy's a block away at Valley view center.

Same for Houston I heard. There are two Macy's at the Galleria and one is the right size for a Bloomingdales (the smaller Macy's).

If and when they do announce such a thing, I don't see Macys at Galleria closing. The one at Valley View is more likely to close. They would probably locate to the Shops at Willow Bend since the former Lord & Taylor space is still Vacant.
It would be interesting to see the Valley View Macys close and replaced with Bloomingdales, since it is next to where Bloomies was originally, the current JCPenney location.

I really hope they do open a Bloomingdales in Texas, I miss them AND Lord & Taylor!

Actually I wouldn't count on Willow Bend Macy's being there very long. Macy's is the company that sold off L&T and had a huge fight with the mall owner of willow bend over it. The macy's there is doing awful. If you convert Macy's at DG to bloomies, and leave VVC alone you can upscale the merchandise at VVC, have premium stuff at DG, and have two powerhouse stores. Not only that but it's a major coup for the Galleria scoring a retailer that north park doesn't have.

They may sound like good ideas but I seriously doubt anything like that will happen. At least not for awhile.
