Old H-E-B ads show how much prices changed in just 20 years.
There was a time, not in a distant memory, where brisket was 87 cents per pound.
Most of y'all reading this article probably should since this price was offered just 20 years ago in 2003, according to H-E-B newspaper ads found in the Express-News archives. You might be surprised (or not) just how much prices have changed in 2023.
Some of the younger generation might be actually shocked.
