I've been living in San Jacinto for about 3 years and I haven't run into any gangs yet. So far so good and I hope it stays that way. It's too boring of a town for gangs. They like big cities where there is more nightlife. Just my opinion.

I've been through Hemet all the time for the last 25 years and have a 4-plex there and I had no idea there was a Sci com there!
Where is it so I can look for it?

I still remember the time we were trying to find the entrance for the free tours at the Scientology compound back in the early 1990's and we turned into the wrong entrance. We were immediately surrounded by guards and they were writing down our license plate, asking us all kinds of weird questions like we were trying to break in or something.
I told them we were just trying to find the free tour, that's all! So they finally let us go and we did find the place for the tour.
Definitely a strange place back then..I wonder if they ever changed their tactics.

The normal citizens of San Jacinto are fine. It's the indicted 4 out of 5 council members (1 is the mayor); and the Mt San Jacinto Community College police chief charged with 8 felonies. Within the past month. Shameful.

Both were reported in the Press Enterprise and the LA Times.

Here's the first 2 that came up on Google, since I've already thrown out the papers ...

San Jacinto Council - Nov 13 2009 - LA Times

MSJC Police Chief - Dec 3 2009 - Press Enterprise (http://www.pe.com/localnews/inland/stories/PE_News_Local_S_webchief.2d337c1.html - broken link)
