Hey guys, so Im moving to the South Bay Area in a couple days and will need a new drivers license within 10 days. However yesterday, i lost my FL drivers license. I have a picture of the license, but does anybody know if the CA DMV can verify that I am a licensed driver without the actual out of state license? I'd rather not have to make an appointment for a driving test since I'll have a hard time taking another day off of work. What to do?

Can't you apply for replacement Florida license online? If so, perhaps a confirmation of that could help with the CA. DMV?

Here ya go: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv

And here: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/de...t_facts/ffdl05

This seems to indicate that if you have other documents such as a Passport, Social Security card and birth certificate, that you may not need the former state's driver license.

I do know you'll have to at least take the written test. There are online practice tests and if you work all of them, and know the content well, you will pass the written test.
