What is the average market-rate salary right now for a senior (10+ years experience) Linux system administrator in Silicon Valley?

I'm going to pay attention to this thread because I am interested in getting into IT.

I have 20+ years of experience as a hobby just never did it as a job. I had a couple of good interviews with a famous silicon valley it firm (for an entry level IT job) and they said I was a very promising candidate -- they were impressed by my Unix command line skills -- however they would like to see a Cisco CCNA cert. So when I get moved back up to San Jose it will be easier to study and I will work on that one.

80s keys, I did see on glassdoor that a senior Linux admin can expect 120k in San Jose, but that didn't specify how many years experience.

Well, my experience and job is a little different, but I'm an old Solaris admin that now takes care of the entire back-end infrastructure for a 130 person startup. My field of expertise is an inverted T, with general LAMP probably being my forte. I manage a medium size VM HA cluster (~80 linux, ~50 windows), connectivity and firewalls for multiple sites, multiple SANs, collapsed core Cisco environment, etc. I manage a ton of stuff, but that's the way I like it

I started working in the valley in 95, so I'm just shy of 20 years and I make just shy of 150K. I doubt I would even entertain an offer for anything less. If I get back into management, that of course demands a different salary. I managed for a number of years and just got bored, building the infrastructure is where all the fun is

Also, I have no certifications other than an A+, which my old employer Symantec required back then, also from 1995.

Everyone is different. Not all senior level engineers will make the same. in Silicon Valley, it could be $120K if you're good, or $200K+ if you're the best in the world. Are you just hammering tickets out or you architecting infrastructure? So it's all about your skill set and how good your negotiation skills are (and the company's financial strength).
