There really isnt a big CHINESE community in the city of san jose. In San Jose, the Viets run the town. Vietnamese everywhere in all economic levels. The ballers will live up in evergreen area. The middle class will fall spread around most of san jose, but specifically around south east and south west areas. Their main hood is on story west of the 101 and it is even offically called Little Saigon. Across the same story road east of the 101 turns into Mexico.

Milpitas is Filipino town but has started to get taken over by the Punjabs/indian. Berryessa also more Filipinos but also mix of higher income but not as high as evergreen asians so will consist of mixed of other asians there, but has from my experience been predominantly filipino as it goes to milpitas.

You want chinese, you dont go to san jose. Go to Sunset in San Francisco, or Cupertino here. Cupertino here is $$$$$$$. You need that old money that many Chinese seem to posess over there.

Something to be aware of with regards to Cupertino and West San Jose is that the Chinese community over there is mostly Taiwanese and Hokkien so if your parents are mainlanders it might be a bit culturally and politically awkward for them.

The Filipinos do not control Berryessa. I wouldn't even put them in the top 3.
