I liked Savannah when I visited too. I went in November and it was perfect. Not overrun with tourists, and hotel prices were very reasonable. Weather was great for walking around and enjoying the beautiful architecture. The many town squares are great. I wish more towns had them.

A Savannah wedding you've got to see to believe. The groom is Michael Palmer, who played at Clemson and is now a TE for the Steelers. The reception was at the Historic RR Shops Museum. Awesomely original venue! This is, hands down, one of the COOLEST wedding photo galleries I've ever seen on the internet. It's amazing! Best wishes to this couple for a happy life!

She had pictures of her SHOES taken? The whole thing is positively Kardashian. Breathlessly awaiting their debut on E! Network.

Oh come now, Lovin! You gotta admit, that reception was off the chain and looked like a lot of fun.

(I did think the groom coulda gotten a closer shave on his wedding day, but that's just me.)

I thought he was endearing, especially his tie clip (I love that they're back; reminds me of my darling dad). But I can just hear my sorority sisters cackling about this one.

Here's a blogger's report on her weekend trip to Savannah. I could have done without her criticism of our Confederate monuments (???!!!!) but here it is anyway ... after all, it's "what they're saying."

Winning at what, I'd like to know. Best fried catfish and hush puppies?
