Paula I believe took up for her brother and she took the fall for him as well. From what I've read, he's not a smart man and has a drinking problem.

My point was that I doubt that any of these celebrities are "without sin." Right now her defenders are few and far between, but the Donald is conspicuously one of them.

Excellent point. If we ousted out all members of congress who have used the "N" word within the past 30-40 years, thousands of candidates would be scrambling for hundreds of open seats.

Such as old dead "Grand Wizard", Robert KKK Byrd, democrat, WV.

Come to find out, most of those who have served in Congress who used the N word in the past (and meant it), were/are, democrats. Paula is a democrat herself. I see a pattern developing here.....

I'm afraid use of a racial slur rarely has its roots in a single political camp. Let's avoid the pratfalls of making this about one political party vs. another. It's not only off-topic, but it's a stupid exercise in gum flapping, whomever the perpetrator.

Agreed. Both parties are equally to blame, in this case.

Today's Savannah paper had two positive stories about the Deen family. One was about Bobby's wedding, and the other about somebody's elderly aunt who had a memorable visit to Savannah, including special treatment by The Lady and Sons and Uncle Bubba's.

It seems the tide has turned. Looks like the Deen family has changed publicists.

Ain't that the truth! I never thought to mention it before, but on the Sunday before the whole "N" word thing broke, the SMN ran a story on Paula, to update readers on "all her new ventures." But it read like a really bad PR job, and the photo made her look like a drag queen.

Here's what the headline across the top of the front page said:

"PAULA DEEN DISHES: The Lady lets us in on son Bobby's wedding plans (she won't be cooking) and talks about her charity work, business ventures"

Two days later the National Enquirer hit the stands. If you think that's coincidence, I've got some really nice mountain property out in Effingham to sell ya!

Why is it Paula's stuff got taken out of retail, but jailbird, Martha's is all over the place! Oh that's right, she's a liberal.

Absolutely! You know Obama's been out to get her ever since he learned Paula's family owned Michelle's.

Nationwide conspiracy. LOL

Truth is, many people were just tired of Paula. The retailers were starting to see a decrease in demand for her product. Ratings for her show had fallen. It was just a matter of time.

Whether she was a racist or just a tacky character doesn't matter. Her time was nearly over.

But if it makes you feel better to say it is a liberal conspiracy. Go right ahead.
