A few skyline pics from the 7th floor of the State Street Parking Garage downtown.

Those are some great shots Gamecock posted of the Victoria District and what looks like Thomasville Square? Too few tourists know to venture below Forsyth Park, where there's some awesome late 19th and early 20th century homes being restored.

This thread has inspired me to take my camera and shoot some of those terrific 1920s-era streets in Chatham Cresent, Ardsley Park, Baldwin Park, etc -- to show how the city kept growing south block by block each decade!

I was down in Savannah over the weekend with the goal of exploring as much of the Historic District as I could with some friends whom have never had the pleasure of touring your great city. I stuck mostly to Joe Odom's second rule of Savannah and didn't venture south of Gaston Street...except to spend a while relaxing in Forsyth Park.

The weather was great (a big improvement over the cold and rainy Atlanta I left behind for the weekend), the people as lovely as ever, and the drinks were plentiful and mostly importantly strong. As always I had a blast in your beautiful city.

Hoping to visit the city for the first time in June - a few Americans here at work cannot stop RAVING about it. The photos explain why. Note to self: do NOT leave camera home this time!
