people that move from the cities into a rural village don't last long, they complain about tractors on the roads delaying their daily commute, they complain about cockerels crowing, church bells, cows "pooing" in the fields(I kid you not) and there being no pavements, usually they last about 6 months then move back to the city.

that is very true. my niece from Plymouth, UK came over to my place last year with her 24 yo son and his family, they stayed a few days, complaining about that there was nothing to do and the closest small city was well over an hour away. they did not stay very long.

yep, i'm from Plymouth originally myself.
nobody walks if they can drive(apart from a few avid hikers) and no matter where they go they have to be "entertained", nobody seems to be able to do anything for themselves anymore.
