Biden in his first week prioritized rescinding president trump's order to block china from our power grid. Biden in one of his first moves in office is allowing china back in.
(c) Executive Order 13920 of May 1, 2020 (Securing the United States Bulk-Power System), is hereby suspended for 90 days. The Secretary of Energy and the Director of OMB shall jointly consider whether to recommend that a replacement order be issued.
The truth is, they can't really stop anybody from hacking into anything. If its online, its hackable. The more pertinent issue is, why does all this have to be online?? Can we not limit this utility to one network? If not, why not? Some aspects of it ought to be air-gapped.

Biden did not rescind the order. This is one of many regulatory pauses that is normal every time a new administration takes power.
Any recent policy that is enacted shortly before or after the transition of power is traditionally paused or "frozen" for review to see if it is contains any riders that are inconsistent with the incoming administration's goals. Trump paused many Obama orders, Obama paused many Bush orders, Bush paused many Clinton orders, etc. The vast majority end up standing.
The time to worry is if he does rescind it after review. Which he may, but it is still important to convey what is actually happening. The fact is, Biden can undo or reverse any number of Trump's policies, and this flurry of regulatory freezes is just a part of that, but not a guarantee of that.
What can be guaranteed is that government, neither one led by Biden, nor Trump, nor any other, sees any individual American as important as their ultimate personal political goals.

Sad isn't it.
