After reading Consumer Reports a couple weeks ago on mattresses, I've been considering getting a Sleep on Latex medium mattress with one of their soft toppers. It's cheaper than Tempur Pedic's cloud.
I ended up buying a Sleep On Latex mattress on the first of this month and got it several days later. Medium firmness. Initially it was softer than I expected and very heavy. Has a bounciness to it and it feels like you're on the mattress rather than in it like with tempur pedic. It was an adjustment at first and I had most trouble on the 4th night getting comfortable. But after that, started doing better with the mattress.
Had/s no bad or strange smells and is organic, made from a latex tree.
I feel adjusted to it at this point now. I like the bounciness and feel more supported but at the same time I do miss the sinking in feeling I got with the tempur pedic. Not sure if if I love it yet and if I want to keep it. Am thinking of getting one of SOL soft toppers. I sleep mainly on my sides but sometimes on my belly. See what happens.
