Civics is the study of the great theoretical and practical aspects of citizenship, its rights and duties; the duties of citizens to each other as members of society and to the government




When the programming over the years moved to diminish and wipe out basic "Civics" Classes, it is almost like a structured process to diminish voter participation in the coming generations.

When kids learn their Civic's in the 4th Grade and then there is other elements which relate to civic's in their social studies classes, then we groom the youth to be more social and civic minded for the expanse of their lives.
But by constructive process, we wiped that out.first by down playing it and then second by only talking about math and science, while removing as much civics related subject material and all cultural grooming programs out of the school systems and their programming.

The result is we have current day University Graduates who are non civic minded, they don't understand how social, civic and government and business work as a unit. They are taught " greed chase tactical programming"... which is all about MBA based " dollar chasing"... which results to nothing having any foundational value. Therefore, we have become a society where everything is for sale, stocks are over rated, and we allow speculation to dictate the closure of companies, based on the spin of hype for the sake of profit gouging. The fact that gouging is based on nothing, beyond speculation, which results to unreal expectations and inabillty to perform to meet an over-leveraged debt load.

What is lacking is the total absence of Civic conscienesness, there is not social of civic related concerns as to what makes for City and community, it has gone so wild and so far that it does not understand the relations of City to State, nor does it concern itself with State to Nation responsibility.

What this spells and demonstrates is Doom, which defeats a nation from within. The only thing left is the oligarch's, whom eventually turn our nation into an Oligarachy, which is dominated by the plutocratic processes which has aims to usurp the democracy by supplanting a Plutocracy in its place, which is controlled by the wealthy elites, whom consider themselves as the modern day American Monarachs.
We see them every day, tauting their Mansions and how many bath room, their million dollar Wedding Fiasco's and all things to give themselves the faux delusion as if they are the Royalty of this nation. Which does not by the Constitution have any place for a Monarachy and its Royal Courts programming.

We had better awaken, pay attention and be with concerns about what it taking place.

We have the wealthy who lobby and find ways to convince politicians to squander resources meant to fix our roads and other infrastructure programs, then we have to re-budget for these things again, and nothing get's done unless the Wealthy can "corrall" the contracts and bleed them to death with change orders, and over budget projections used as hostage style robbery of the American people, simply to get a project to completion.

Sadly, this is much of what out Educational Institution has trained people within the thinking for the past 30 yrs. They don't know any better, because they bought into the training which was void of any Civic Pride, or Ethical Regard for the Civil and Civic nature of what is society and community, City and State.

Political Science now is taught as a program of "Gamesmanship".. It has long lost the meaning of its basis for being.

We at this point have the power to change the paradigm, but the matter is we have been lulled into passivity by the 'DAILY DRAMA CYCLES OF TALK RADIO, MASS MEDIA AND CONGRESSIONAL WRANGLING", and this is exactly what they want us to do....


Are we aware, we need to awaken and we need to do it now. ????

Part of what's lacking in Civics is recognizing the idea of being a citizen of a state and a citizen of the country. It should also educate the people the difference in responsibilities of the state government and the federal government as defined by the US Constitution, something members of the US Congress and the President seem to have forgotten.

One thing that is lacking in our education system is teaching civic responsibilities and good citizenship. Ask any young adult today what being a good citizen means and I'll bet you'll get either blank stares or some patriotic diatribe they heard repeated from talk radio propagandists. To many of the younger generation all it takes to be a good citizen is to simply be "born American". While those who serve in military have a better understanding thanks to their indoctrination during basic training, most others don't understand their responsibility and necessity to take up the slack and:

--Pay attention to current events and actively pursue deeper meaning beyond being spoonfed by propagandists.
--Actively participate in the political process and become better educated on the issues that affect everyone.
--Continue the pursuit of knowledge and develop a practical working knowledge of their local community and civic affairs.
--AND MOST OF ALL . . . .THINK, DON'T SIMPLY COPY, IMITATE or REGURGITATE PROPAGANDA. . . THINK is MOST IMPORTANT!

If Americans had to deal with daily struggles of merely staying alive as in other countries, you can be sure they would become more active at deciding who is in charge. But we have two or three generations that think life is a phone app or Xbox episode.

Excellent .... these are the elements I'm speaking about.

Today, so many young people and some older from the generations since civics has been a non program offering. Have no idea of how things work, who's in charge and how to work within the system and through the system. Therefore, they are unable to hold those elected accountable to do what they were constitutionally elected to do, be it city, or state wise. The result is people move from the State level to the Federal Level of congressional seats and they already know the number of people who are knowledgable enough to hold them accountable is extremely low.

This plays into the fact, we have mouthpiece congressional people, who double talk and skirt the issue and play to the 'DRAMA TALKING POINTS", as a mere means of distraction and mis-direction.
People have very little time to read anything political. When we look at the introduction of a Bill, by the time through so many modification before it is Enrolled. Until by the time it is signed, it is far from what the Original bill proposed.

Sometimes these bill leave the floor and become modified and changed or a new version submitted by another party; often resulting in a stripped down verions from the original.

In the Everyday terms, people should get less caught up in PAID FOR ADVERTISEMENT in regards to POLITICAL MATTERS. and simply go and read and grasp the concept of what is being proposed, stated or refuted. It is important to know how matters connect, what they are built up, and how they will ultimately impact your life, positively or negatively.

Here Locally.. We are in AUGUST 2014, we have a 100% LACKLUSTRE CAMPAIGN, because the pool of canidates each think their groups have assured them of being a lock-in. We have buzz topics but nothing expressively laid out as to "HOW" any of the Buzz Topic's will be achieved. We have Council Districts which are term limited. Yet, there is nothing, about who is in the running for these slots.
We already know, some of the members, need to go, because they have been nothing more than "gridlockers"; with no vision and brining nothing to the table other than the aims to showcase themselves. It has been costly in every aspect to the citizens.


RETURN CIVICS AND SOCIAL STUDIES - WE MIGHT IMPROVE SOCIAL CONCERNS FOR CITY AND SOCIETY.
But when you have a segment of generational society who have no concept of Civic Realism, then things like this can and does continue and the city in some sectors will continue to present an expanding ghetto, the crime and delinquency will expand and business will suffer from lack of understanding to push the leaders to have a robust and expanding perspective about Economic Development, as well as what is the element of Economic Equilibrium and what are the ratio's that must be achieved to gain positive flow economic function.

We truly need to press the School system to make Civic's a dominant part of early education, long before kids get to Junior High School. How did our system become so negligent to allow this to happen in doing nothing while out Civic and Social Studies was just wiped off the charts of programming? The sad part is still they don't grasp it.

We are too busy chasing a Asian Model of ROTE MEMORIZATIONS, when Asian is trying to move their kids away from ROTE MEMORIZATIONS, because they have as a society learned it does not prove nor demonstrate that their students know how to do anything beyond take a test and pass it based on ROTE MEMORY. When it comes to independent thinking, constructive planning and critical thinking, they are loss, because they have no assocciative value expanse to what they have Remembered, they can remember sequence of variables, but what those variables truly means and how they inter-relate is not relevant under the ROTE MEMORIZATION PROGRAMMING. This is why they want their kids to come to Western Learning Schools to become more braod based thinkers. And here we are turning out schools and universities into the same things, these Asian nations are trying to get away from.

YET, WE HAVE BECOME A SOCIETY, "unfortunatelty", IGNORANT ENOUGH TO TRY AND MODEL OUR EDUCATIONAL GOALS BASED ON MEASUREMENT AGAINST A SOCIETY THAT RACK UP HIGH SCORES UTILIZING ROTE MEMORY TEST TAKING RESULTS.

What has resulted is: we have insulted the nature of American Learning, to ask: WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE AND WHY.
If kids ask these questions now in class, they are branded as being un-ruly, called a smart ass and set to the office, and in many cases made to feel as if they are a disruptor which is followed with negative labels placed on the student by the whole Administrative staff.

I think it begins with the individual citizen groups, when citizens are aware, they vote more responsibliy, and they are not adverse to removing or insuring these "current crop of congressional people, don't remain or get there and certainly that they don't become career politicians, to the point they think of themselves as individual institutions within the congressional pool. We have some who have ridden NAME recogonition, to the point, Daddy and Son both occupied the President's Office and another Son has State level political office. This is the absuridity we have allowed. And we certainly have paid the price for it and we are indebted for the next 15 yrs or more because of it. Still there are many who have no idea to attach the accountability to the perp's who lead us down this path.
Here we are after having totally destablized Iraq, back over there when it has become 'wild mans land", where killing is the flavor of the fanatics.....

We had better push these schools to bring back Civics and Social Studies and do with with high expediency in making it happen.
