Hi everyone. New member here. My husband just relocated there from Nevada for work. Me and the kids are still stuck here in Nevada hoping to move out there in the fall. But I'm having trouble finding ABSOUTELY ANYTHING online housing wise. Can someone point me in a direction to start trying to find housing? We are looking in either murdo or white river. Thank you

So, he got a job on the res? And you are trying to figure out where to live? Oh my. Both Murdo and White River and very rural in the middle of , I'm sorry..."no where." I hope you researched all this before he took the job.

He got a job on a ranch and they said they had housing for us but once he got there he said the housing won't work for us and we need to.find a place in town. So I didn't research anything because they said they had housing for us.

Both places are small towns. I guess if it were me, I would just go into town and start asking around. It's doubtful you're going to find any listings online for those two towns. I guess you could try craigslist.

Tried Craigslist already. Even made a housing wanted ad. Guess I will have him ask around town. Thank you for your help

Seriously, that is probably the best way. Doesn't his employer have any ideas?

Hopefully the info your husband just got will solve your problem.

If not, I got on the Murdo Chamber of Commerce site. Under "housing", I found the following listed:

CB Trailer Park: (605) 391-3603

Convey Apartments: (605) 669-2873

Fidelity Agency: (In my experience, calling local realtors is the most productive way to find rental housing in rural areas.) Phone: (605) 669-2492 or (605) 835-8740 Email: murdoagency@ffb-sd.com http://www.fidelityagency.com/RealEstate.html

and Government Housing in Murdo Phone: (605) 669-2681
Email: murdohousing@goldenwest.net
This might really work well for you if you have a young family and have a limited income!

Good luck!
