Not to worry crazychyk it will happen. In Prescott, AZ area the migration from blue states started 10 - 15 years ago and got real bad 4 years ago and will not stop till we are out of water, but we did get 2 new county jails and at least one new police station with expanded jail, progress yippeee. really hope to get away from here in the spring, they bring in some no driving really rude we have enough money to show you hicks how to get it done we need a dog park people. sorry about the rant it just seems a bit much sometimes but it is true.
I'm a proud South dakota resident with the states great program to get to be a legal resident even if not living there full time.
Many full time traveller's like myself take advantage of this.
I just went up early December to renew my SD driver's license, pick up some mail and see a doctor at Sanford.
It's a great option for nomads.
And I'm proud to say I'm a South dakotan. Former Minnesotan.
I've used the program. The tech used is clunky, but that can get worked out. The people I've dealt with seem to believe in the mission. At the same time, I'm not sure there's a lot of trust in it as a vetting tool from the local businesses. Got one interview lined up for an executive position. In the first round HR let me know that they were taking this interview to participate in the program, but "I have no questions for you, this for me to answer questions you may have about the role."
Basically, it seems more likely aimed at bringing in lower level labor, which doesn't really help me.
So, a mixed bag. It's nice that they're trying though. It could become a net positive over time.
