Which team do you feel is the most overrated? Or has had the biggest fall from grace? Both teams had a lot of glory and success in years past. But as of late, both have been lower tier teams.

The Cowboys have only won 1 playoff game in the last 15 years and have gone 1-7 in that stretch. They only have 6 playoff appearances in that time period.

Notre Dame has not won a legitimate bowl game since the 1994 Cotton Bowl. In that time period, they are 2-10 in bowl games.

Notre Dame is slightly more overrated, but both of them get way too much coverage from networks which are more interested in covering mediocre teams that have undeserved fan followings over teams that are currently relevant and interesting.

Why are the fans of Notre Dame and Dallas undeserving... ? Undeserving of what.. ? media coverage??

The Cowboys rarely have a losing season much less being at the bottom of the league in wins. They have made the playoffs several times in the past few years... They have a won a division title... and are almost always competing for the playoffs. so tell me how that is considered "lower tier"?

Are you saying they are overrated because they have not won the Super Bowl? Well if that's the case then 90% of the league would fall into that category!

The Cowboys may be over Media Covered... but they are not overrated or a lower tier team. period

They have only won a single playoff game in the last 15 years. More often than not in that time span they have missed the playoffs. You can compete all you want, but if you don't get in and then at least win a game, it doesn't matter.

This just seems like a lame attempt to bash the Irish and the Cowboys...
I certainly agree that both clubs get way more pub than they deserve but you can't put that at the feet of the clubs.. The media follows the clubs that get the most attention from fans.. good or bad. Fans tune into to stories about these clubs from different aspects.. some are fans that want to see them win and others are NOT fans and want to see them fail.. regardless its not the clubs fault that they have so many fans and bashers.. Both have a rich and long history of success and failure.. but lets be honest, how many fans are going to tune into stories about The Cincinnati Bearcats or Arizona Cardinals... It's all about ratings and the Irish and Cowboys draw ratings..

You should replace the Arizona Cardinals with the Cleveland Browns or Cincinnati Bengals

You could interchange several different teams and that's part of the problem. Of the 100 plus D1 schools, very few would draw any interest at all and of the 32 NFL teams only half warrant anything thing other than very limited coverage.

It's like some folks just can't comprehend why fans of certain teams would continue to support them after years of failure..
