I picked up a ticket for $10 (outfield, party area) - so will be going to 2 or the three games in the Rays/Sox series. Won't go tomorrow d/t Bucs' preseason game.

Re: Trop. I'm not sure if a new stadium will be worth the increased price per ticket. I like paying $8-20/seat. I'm sure that'll double/triple with a $500 mil new stadium. But you're right, compared to most stadiums in the league, the Trop is a joke.

Looks like the poll is heading for a golf forum......
Votes coming in to that reward, anyhow.
Such a well respected game, of noteworthy history, and interesting current events.....

Jason Day - Aussie - watched him at TPC Sawgrass this past May. Good player - only 23 yrs old. Future (or really up and coming) star of the PGA tour? Someone will need to take over as a favorite for TW who can't seem to find his game right now.

Nice win by overall good guy Matt Kuchar. TW could take a lesson or two on how to act on the course. Remember hearing Kuchar yell out "Jeepers" when he hit very bad shot at Whistling Straits.

I like Kuchar's almost constant smile. He's becoming one of my favorite golfers.

Is Tiger the next "Stack and Tilter?" - if so, millions of golfers will follow suit.

wonder if Pavin is going to pick TW for the team ------I guess the Ryder Cup without TW wouldn't be as interesting. A part of me doesn't want TW to represent my country. His demeanor on the course is irritating to watch. I can imagine the crap he's going to display if he has a bad day on the course while playing for the Ryder Cup team.

Tiger Woods should receive a captain's pick from USA skipper Corey Pavin for the Ryder Cup, according to former great Arnold Palmer.

Despite Woods' on and off-course problems of recent times, Palmer believes he deserves to be handed the opportunity to face Europe at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales at the start of October.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "I think his record is good enough that he should be on the team. I think he will be a great help to the Ryder Cup.

"I am sorry for him, but if we concentrate on his golf he will be alright. He will get his game back."

Should not even be a question as to Woods resume to compete in a match play tourney, especially this one. I can guarantee that Monty hopes he doesn't make it, but he knows he will be there.

Team Europe was announced...

Gosh do I love the game of golf, one day I was hitting great drives and chips and irons at the range so I decided to go grab a cart and play 18. It was my best day in terms of length and accuracy at the range. Then 20min later and then 18 holes later I had just played my worst round of golf...ever! Then I take months off and just work on the basic in my house, forum, grip, putting. So I decided to grab the clubs up after not playing for two months and I had one of the best games ever.

One day you have it, the next day you don't have it.

I've been playing since 1985 and you'd think I'd be pretty good. I've had my share of rounds in the 70s, but nowadays I'm lucky to shoot below 85. The swing evolves over the years - wish I could find it again - pretty frustrating.
