I will be visiting ST. Louis for the first time with a group of guys this weekend. We are staying at the Sheritan City Center hotel. What are some things for us to do such as casinos, bars, clubs resturants etc? Also, what areas to we want to avoid. We are all ages 24-25 and single. Thanks.

During the day go to the city museum, arch, brewery, baseball game. For night, go to Washington Avenue, lots of restaurants and bars. I personally love Mosiac, Rosalitas and Copia for food. There is a dualing piano bar called Jive and Wail, you should check that out.The metrolink is right across from your hotel. You can jump on that and go to the Delmar stop and check out the loop. Tons of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Go get a burger at Blueberry Hill, this is a must do in STL. Lumiere Casino is downtown on the riverfront, you will probably want to drive or take a cab there as its not too close to your hotel. Actually, you can probably take the metrolink to a stop closer to the casino. If you go to the casino, you should have a drink on the Four Seasons patio, its pretty cool. The bad area is way North of downtown, there really isn't any reason you should be going through there.

The neighborhoods of soulard, the central west end, and clayton also have great nightlife but you can have a blast for a few days downtown on wash ave. Go bowling one night at Flamingo bowl..then bar hop or walk over to Lumiere Place.

For nightlife head to Washington Ave, the Landing, or the bars in Soulard. That should be enough to keep you occupied during your stay.

If you got a bunch of single guys when the STL bars close just take a cab to the East side.

I would check out the central west end. If it's nice out take the metrolink there and sit outside at one of the many patios for some day drinking. It's a real cool neighborhood.
