Say someone is planning to visit and see the Arch, Forest Park, Union Station, etc. Is the Metrolink system easy to use for visitors? Or is it as confusing as the New York subway?

I've never been on the subway, but I've ridden the Metrolink a few times. IMO, Metrolink is pretty easy to navigate.

For the most part, the area you are referring to is one line (though served by both Blue and Red lines, the route is the same from the DeBaliviere station into Illinois). The only issue I see is the attractions in Forest Park (History Museum aside) are not on the Metro link route. There was a shuttle bus (quick search for Forest Park Shuttle says it is closed for the season) around the park. I am not sure when you plan to visit.

Got back after visiting. Easy to use. Visited the Arch, Union Station and History Museum. And it runs frequently enough you don't need to memorize complicated timetables. St Louis got this one right.
