Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but an excellent Greek restaurant is Slovakia House in Cornells lower college town area. Lamb gyro is out of control good. Everything is always fresh. I've eaten there probably over 100 times in my life and have never had a bad experience. Make sure you fold the seat down in the booth before sitting down. I got a fat lip from that the very first time I ate there. Lol.
There is an AMAZING restaurant in Alexandria Bay, NY named Jacques Cartier room. Very upscale and some of the best food I've had. Their sommelier is probably one of the best I've ever met.
