Hi! I'm currently living in New Jersey, but come May I will have to sell my house here and I'd like to move to Upstate NY, nearer my parents. How is Syracuse? I'm going to need a job in the administrative assistant, real estate category. How is the job market?

According to today's paper, the labor force in Syracuse is the highest since 1992. That's pretty good for the Syracuse MSA since we are well below our peak population in the early 90s. And we are near "full employment" after adding another 3,000 jobs last month. I really doubt our economy is as tight as they are saying. But if they are right, it sounds like you won't have a problem finding a job in Syracuse if you have "experience" at a professional job.
