Surface 3 charger (laptop)

I think the original charger with 2.5 output current, is it okay to use a charger with output 5 current.

It should speed up charging, but will it damage the device?

Amps you mean? Most devices will only draw what they need so you should be fine. Dumb devices can draw more then they need. but phones and laptops generally speaking only draw what they need. I would hope a Surface would do that.

If you're asking the question, then you've probably joined the many of us who didn't want to spend the money for the OEM version of the replacement adapter. I bought mine on ebay. Output is 3A,12V
