Any resources for a new afterschool program coordinator? (grade, start in)

Hello,

I just took a new job where I will be creating some programs and schedules for an afterschool program. I'd like to start incorporating drama because the site has a multipurpose room they can use and a stage.

I was thinking of group activities where one child is a cat and the other is dog and to act it out.

I'm not sure how scripts would work. I mostly plan to have this for the 5th-8th grade group.
